Instantaneous VHF bandwidth aboard tactical vehicles and more
Shakespeare’s advanced broadband, vertically polarized antennas for the VHF 30-108 MHz bands offer high performance and power ratings. Bandwidth is instantaneous whether with frequency-agile radios or fixed-frequency transceivers. These high-performance broadband antennas are ideally suited for use on personnel carriers, tanks, shelters, and other tactical vehicles. Or, an available tripod enables their use in a tactical environment. A clear punch to the horizon Our VHF antenna systems maintain a VSWR of better than 3.5:1 over the entire frequency spectrum. With fixed-frequency radios, these passive antennas do not require tuning, band switching, a motor drive, a cable harness or a DC voltage source to the antenna. Simply connect 50-ohm coax cable between the transceiver and the antenna. Special low-profile series are available where visual silhouette or drag factor is important. A wide variety of mounting and other accessories are available. Multi-band and wide band Our VHF/UHF broadband antennas for 118-174 MHz, 225-450 MHz or 380-490 MHz are center–fed, coaxial sleeve dipoles, sealed within durable fiberglass radomes. Internal elements are brass tubing for maximum conductivity and dependability. A broadband choking circuit enables the antenna to operate independent of a ground plane, on vehicles, shelters, buildings, masts and various shipboard locations. Our wideband tape manpack antennas provide VHF/UHF communications under combat conditions without physical restraint. Constructed from sheathed, multiple stainless steel tape elements, the antenna is supplied with an Antenna Matching Unit (AMU) optimized over the full operating band. VHF Products
